GORRES RETURNS MAY 3

ONE-time world title challenger Z “The Dream” Gorres is set to be back in action as he takes on a Tanzanian opponent on May 3 in Mandaue City.

Gorres, 25, will take on Francis Miyeyusho of Tanzania in a 12-round bout for the Filipino’s International Boxing Federation (IBF) Intercontinental superflyweight crown.

The 25-year-old Miyeyusho is a southpaw fighter and is a former Tanzanian and East & Central Africa Professional Boxing Federation champion.

Miyeyusho has a record of 20-5-2 with 9 knockouts. He actually lost of his last five fights in the United Kingdom and Russia but both fights were in the superbantamweight and Featherweight divisions.

Manila (Philippine Daily Inquirer/ANN) - As is his wont everytime he comes home from a victorious fight, Pacquiao went to the Minor Basilica of the Black Nazarene (Quiapo) Church, arriving late for the 9 a.m. Mass. Manny Pacquiao?s arrival drew more worshipers to the church. The crowd inside the basilica reached at least 1,500 for the Mass celebrated by Fr. Jack Padua. Bernard Enrique, 52, of Pasig City, was late for the 6 a.m. Mass that he and his wife usually attend and decided to stay for the 9 a.m. Mass. ?I only found out he (Pacquiao) was coming when I saw the media.
