Jewelers to play TNT Phone Pals

THE former PBA players and the hopefuls in the lineup of the M. Lhuillier Kwarta Padala Jewelers will get the chance to display their best and probably a shot for a PBA career when Cebu’s most winningest commercial ball club test their mettles against the Talk ‘N Text Phone Pals in a friendly game this Thursday at the Cebu Coliseum.

This goodwill game will serve as one of the highlights of the Cebu City Charter Day Celebration and is presented by BAP-Samahang Baskitbol ng Pilipinas (BAP-SBP) leadership of Manny Pangilinan and Visayas area chief Michel Lhuillier.

Pangilinan is the owner of the Phone Pals, while Lhuillier also owns the Jewelers.

This will be the first time the former RP team coach Chot Reyes will call the shots for the Pals after replacing Derek Pumaren last month.

The game will also feature the return to Cebu of the former UV Green Lancer Felix Belano Jr., and Tonichi Yturri, the former head coach of the Cebu Gems of the defunct MBA.

However, the hardcourt action will be focused on the former pros who are now in the roster of the Jewelers—Bruce Dacia, Stephen Padilla, Marlon Basco, Ron Capati, Dale Singson and Danny Aying. (RCM)
