Pacman to conduct open media workout

FILIPINO boxing sensation Manny Pacquiao will hold an open media workout Wednesday at the Titaum Training Center in San Francisco, California.

Pacquiao, considered boxing's No. 1 pound for pound most exciting fighter, will be joined by promoter Bob Arum of Top Rank and famed trainer Freddie Roach in the public workout which starts at 12:30 p.m.

Pacquiao, the punching machine from General Santos City who has an outstanding record of 45-3-2 with 34 KOs, will challenge World Boxing Council (WBC) super featherweight champion Juan Manuel Marquez of Mexico on March 15 at the Mandalay Bay Resort & Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada.

The 12-round world title fight is the second one between the two boxers. Back in 2004, Pacquiao and Marquez fought to a classic draw in a featherweight clash.

The March 15 rematch is promoted by Golden Boy Promotions and Top Rank, in association with Romanza Boxing Productions and MP Promotions.

Manila (Philippine Daily Inquirer/ANN) - As is his wont everytime he comes home from a victorious fight, Pacquiao went to the Minor Basilica of the Black Nazarene (Quiapo) Church, arriving late for the 9 a.m. Mass. Manny Pacquiao?s arrival drew more worshipers to the church. The crowd inside the basilica reached at least 1,500 for the Mass celebrated by Fr. Jack Padua. Bernard Enrique, 52, of Pasig City, was late for the 6 a.m. Mass that he and his wife usually attend and decided to stay for the 9 a.m. Mass. ?I only found out he (Pacquiao) was coming when I saw the media.
